Rachel Carrell
Founder and CEO, Koru Kids
Rachel Carrell is the founder and CEO of Koru Kids, a startup building the world’s best childcare service. Originally from New Zealand, Rachel holds a masters and doctorate from the University of Oxford, where she was a Rhodes Scholar. She has received numerous awards including ‘Inspirational Mother’ and ‘Best Businesswoman in Tech’, and was elected a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. Rachel is also the mother of three kids aged 8, 5 and 0. She was CEO of a healthcare company when she had her first baby, experienced first hand how difficult and expensive it was to arrange childcare, and decided to found Koru Kids.

Brigette Bard
CEO and Founder, BioSURE Global
Brigette Bard is CEO and founder of BioSURE Global – the UK company that develops, manufactures and distributes world-class medical devices in rapidly growing global markets, with a unique insight into self-testing. Her legacy and unique insight to this rapidly global market is due to bringing the world’s first blood-based HIV self-test to market in 2015. It stems from her belief that self-testing will revolutionise disease diagnosis in our lifetime. She says: “Home pregnancy testing has been available for the past 30 years and you literally cannot imagine as a woman having to take time off work, go to a clinic, answer personal questions and wait several days to find out if she is pregnant! I honestly think home ‘screening’ for all diseases will become the norm and we even have home hormone, heart disease and cancer marker tests available now.”

Lucy Aylen
Founder, Never Fully Dressed
Lucy Aylen, British designer and face behind Never Fully Dressed founded the brand in her parents’ attic in 2009 where she customised clothing to sell at London’s boutique markets, Spitalfields and Portobello. Following in the footsteps of her market trading parents, Lucy’s strong work ethic was engrained in her from a young age. Never Fully Dressed’s first brick and mortar store opened in 2014 in the brands native Buckhurst Hill Essex with a brand new USA Flagship store in New York for 2023

Susan Freeman
Real Estate Partner, Mishcon de Reya
Susan is a real estate partner at law firm Mishcon de Reya. An experienced real estate lawyer, her in-depth understanding of the property market, the emerging world of tech and her business training as a Sloan Masters MSc (London Business School) graduate, combined with a wide circle of contacts is an effective combination. She is listed in Property Week's Women's Power List, which describes her as "a world-class networker" with "a contact book full of CEOs". In 2021, Susan received an honorary doctorate from the University College of Estate Management (UCEM), in recognition of her contribution to the built environment. She is on the board of Central District Alliance, the Holborn and surrounding area's Business Improvement District and chairs its Property Group and is on the advisory boards of real estate investment company Seaforth Land and of flexible working company Work.Life. She is also an active member of a number of property-related organisations, including Vice Chair of the British Property Federation's Technology and Innovation Group and member of the ULI Europe Technology and Real Estate Product Council.

Akua Opong
Senior Associate, LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group)
Akua Opong is a Senior Associate at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group). She is an experienced Chartered IT professional, having worked in financial services for over 6 years. At LSEG, Akua is Community Action Lead focused on economic empowerment and outreach programmes, UK Accessibility Lead, and Community Lead for both the Women’s Inspired Network and WIN Tech Network. She is a neurodiversity advocate (self-identifies as Dyslexic and has ADHD) and has been featured in Global Tech London Advocates’ book "Black Women in Tech: The Voices in the Shadows v1", WeAreTheCity’s Rising Stars 2022 for Technology, Computer Weekly's Rising Stars 2023 and Involve’s ethnic diversity role models Empower Top 100 Future Leaders 2023.

Isha Jain
Executive Director, Head of Digital & Technology UK & Ireland, CBRE
Isha has built her career bringing digital transformation into the heart of companies’ strategies across a range of industries, driving cultural change alongside technological advances to deliver impactful change. She brings over 20 years’ experience spanning a range of sectors and geographies, including leadership roles within National Grid, Royal Mail, and CBRE, and now sits on CBRE’s UK board as Head of Digital and Technology. Isha believes in the democratisation of technology to establish a true partnership between business and technology teams, and the importance of upskilling and empowering every colleague to embrace tech’s full potential.

Gordon Mac
Founder at Mi-Soul Radio
Gordon Mac, the Godfather of Dance Music, is an innovative and successful entrepreneur. He achieved the remarkable feat of legalizing a pirate radio station in the UK, becoming the youngest ever Managing Director of a radio station (1985-1997), and gaining renown for creating Kiss FM, Britain’s first dance music station. Gordon played a pivotal role in establishing the Kiss network, which became essential to London’s music scene. The franchise and the introduction of Kiss TV expanded the brand's reach to a national audience. By the time Gordon left, the company was valued at £40m. In 1998, The Radio Academy recognized Gordon's Outstanding Contribution to Music Radio with the prestigious John Peel Award. He joined the ranks of other esteemed recipients like Kenny Everett, Richard Park, Chris Tarrant, and John Peel. In 2011, Mi-Soul Radio was born. With the core team from Kiss FM, Gordon curated an environment where people who share a love for soulful music can listen, connect, and interact with an A-List team of DJs who respect the past, present, and future of our music. Mi-Soul went live on DAB in July 2015, and its audience continues to grow daily.

Mandeep Rai
BBC Journalist and Author of 'The Values Compass'
Mandeep Rai is a global authority on values, working with companies, institutions, and individuals around the world. She has travelled to more than 150 countries and reported as a journalist for the BBC World Service and Reuters, amongst others. She began her career in private banking at JPMorgan, and later worked for the United Nations, the European Commission, and grassroots NGOs before setting up the UAE’s first media venture capital fund. Mandeep studied philosophy, politics, and economics (PPE), has an MSc in International Development from the London School of Economics, and completed an MBA at London Business School, with a year at Harvard Business School and MIT. She also holds a PhD in global values.

Julia Vendramin is the CEO and Co-Founder of Labell-d, the world’s first platform providing a Closed-loop fashion ecosystem. With over 15 years of experience in the industry across Marketing, ecommerce and operations Julia believes it will be paramount to establish honest and transparent communication with your customers. Transparency throughout the whole supply chain from production to retail will be essential. LABELL-D is a fashion-tech start-up that, through its B2B2C platform, is leading the transition to a truly circular economy. The Digital Label, which is the tech at the heart of the company, connects the first and second-hand markets. Jennifer Chung
Technology Ethicist at Digital Catapult
Jennifer is passionate about building just and value-led systems, analysing how technologies impact and shape communities. At the Digital Catapult she provides responsible innovation support to developers and adopters. She has experience in product management, agile development, user research, qualitative research, statistics, stakeholder management, policy analysis, communication, workshop design, and AI governance. She is a part-time student reading AI Ethics and Society at Cambridge. Writing about responsible AI on platforms and content moderation systems.

He was BBC Radio 1Xtra’s first DJ singing and has interviewed some music greats including, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce and Janet Jackson to name a few. Today Ronnie is Head of Music at Mi Soul Radio and presents drive time. He is also the Co- Founder of Funky Dory and DJ’s regularly across the globe.

Abi Farrell has been creating modern soul records for the 21st century since 2018. Named 'an artist on the rise.. a considerable talent' by Blues and Soul Magazine, Abi is known for her effortlessly pure voice and lyrical dexterity and has been carving a career as one of the UK's most sought-after young soul vocalists.

DJ's
The first daytime female DJ's on Mi-Soul Radio. Janice & Lorraine have a weekly show playing their blend of funky house, disco and club classics. Check them out on DAB+, online at mi-soul.com or on your smart speaker. They starting their presenting and DJ career at Kiss 100 FM. They have interviewed many famous names from the music industry including Snoop Dogg, Mariah Carey, Luther Vandross, Lauryn Hill, Louie Vega, Roger Sanchez.

HIL ST SOUL
British singer and songwriter
Hil was born in Zambia moving to London age five. She adopted her father's love of traditional Zambian music along with R and B/soul icons, Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. Hil earned a degree in biological sciences, however, whilst at school, she started to explore musical interests deciding to pursue music. Her personal motto is live life to the fullest and to spend your time doing what you love.

Standing on Great Queen Street, that connects Covent Garden with Holborn in the West End of London, is the Grade II* listed De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms. With a history dating back to 1775, the building has long been an important event venue, and was once home to the original Freemasons’ Tavern before becoming a hotel in 1909. Since then, the venue has hosted some of the world‘s leading politicians, royalty and celebrities with its grand Georgian architecture and art-deco interiors offering 37 exceptional spaces for a wide range of conferences, exhibitions, meetings, training and weddings.
